Parents have fundamental rights when it comes to their children’s education and health care. When parents send their children off to school in the morning, they deserve to know their student is getting the best education possible to set them up for success in the real world, free from an ideological agenda.

That’s because schools are for educating – not indoctrinating. Unfortunately, some far-left politicians and a select group of extreme school administrators have different priorities. Instead of preparing students for the future, some are focused on imposing woke ideology onto impressionable kids. Here in Maryland, books with sexually explicit material and extreme gender ideology have been pushed on young students while other literature was rejected because it emphasized “American values”. Right in our own backyard, out-of-touch school administrators are preventing parents from being informed about developments and health care decisions critical to the mental wellbeing and character formation of their own children.

I stand with every single parent who believes Maryland should offer a world class education that instills pride in America and prepares young people to compete and achieve success in the 21st century economy — and I believe parents have a fundamental right to know what is happening with their children and what they are being taught at school.

As a father and a veteran, I will never stop fighting for children to be educated, not indoctrinated in the classroom — and to uphold the rights of parents.

We live in a dangerous world. From Communist China and Iran to North Korea and Russia to the threat of terrorism around the world, there exist adversaries whose sole mission is to harm the United States. In Congress, I’ll make sure our warfighters have the support they need to maintain peak readiness, ensure their families are well taken care of at home. I’ll fight for every veteran to receive the dignity and benefits they earned in service to our nation.  A strong military and a strong America will deter war and aggression; weakness invites it.

The United States Military is the greatest fighting force the world has ever seen. Its mission is to fight and win our nation’s wars, to deter threats, to assure our allies and to protect our country and the freedoms we hold dear. Period.

There is ZERO room for political games in the military. That’s why I’ll go head-to-head with any liberal bureaucrat or politician trying to inject their woke ideology onto our warfighters. Maintaining the world’s best fighting force is also essential to deter America’s adversaries and avoid armed conflict. I will never support putting American servicemen and women in danger unless the threat to our homeland requires military action.

Our service members make extraordinary sacrifices to keep us safe and the transition to civilian life is not an easy one. As your representative, I’ll make sure Maryland’s veterans have access to all the benefits they were promised and refuse to let government red tape get in the way.

In America, we lose 17 veterans every single day to suicide. This crisis hits close to home for me. In Congress, I’ll work tirelessly to get our veterans the mental health resources required to end this crisis.

Anti-police rhetoric, soft-on-crime policies, increasing illegal drug trafficking, lawlessness on America’s southern border and an economy failing to provide opportunity all contribute to rising crime in too many Maryland communities, including recent spikes in crime in Frederick and Montgomery counties.

No one in Maryland should ever feel unsafe walking down their street or dropping their child off at school.

As a father with young children, I have zero tolerance for unchecked crime that puts the safety of families at risk. In Congress, I will be an unapologetic supporter of police and support policies that keep dangerous criminals behind bars.

I believe we need to increase funding for local police departments so they can address staffing shortages and provide more training opportunities to keep communities safe, including placing school resource officers in our schools. I will rally all the resources possible at the local, state, and federal level to regain progress in the fight to end the scourge of opioid addiction in our communities.

Democrats in Washington have created the worst border crisis in American history, allowing crime, and lethal drugs to pour into Maryland communities. Dangerous gangs like MS-13 threaten our safety while drug overdose deaths spiral out of control. Our area has sadly witnessed a spike in fentanyl-caused children’s hospital visits. Enough is enough.

We must secure the border. Here is my plan:

  • Secure the border
  • Reinstate the Remain-in-Mexico policy
  • Close loopholes in the asylum laws
  • Label the drug cartels as terrorist organizations
  • Hire more Border Patrol agents
  • End catch-and-release
  • Charge drug-dealers who can be linked to an overdose death with felony murder
  • End incentives that fuel unchecked illegal immigration
  • Prioritize a merit-based immigration system

As my wife and I grow our family, we, like millions of families around the country, have a budget and never spend more than we can afford. That is why it is so frustrating to watch out-of-touch politicians carelessly throw away billions of dollars in hard-earned taxpayer money and increasingly push America further into a debt crisis.

Not only has their reckless spending given us the worst inflation in four decades, but it’s creating a mountain of debt for our children and grandchildren to pay off. It’s time to restore common sense and fiscal discipline in Washington to stop the reckless spending, get the debt under control and deliver relief for Maryland families struggling under the weight of inflation and a sluggish economy.

If American families have to live within their means, so can the politicians in Congress. I’ll cut spending and lower middle-class taxes because you work hard for your money, and you deserve to keep more of it. One of the expenses hitting American’ wallets the hardest is high gas prices. I’ll make sure we unleash American energy to bring down prices at the pump.

Bureaucrats who have never spent a day in the real world have too much power over your life and Maryland businesses. In Congress, I’ll fight to ensure rules of the road maximize the competitiveness of Maryland businesses and support their success. Nobody can compete with American workers and American businesses on a level playing field. That’s why I’ll fight for fair trade deals, stand up to China when they rip us off, and lower the cost of doing business in the United States to bring our factories back home.

I’ll also work to enact policies that support the district’s manufacturing and agricultural sectors while encouraging more investments into our life sciences, tech, and logistics industries. In order for our district to be an economic engine, it is vital we increase funding to upgrade critical infrastructure.

Right to Life: I am pro-life. My wife and I are blessed with nine children. I believe America should be a country that values and protects life, especially the lives of its most vulnerable, the unborn.

So long as left-wing politicians in Maryland are not held in check, they will continue to push the boundaries of extremism on this issue in our state, including enabling late-term abortions. They must be stopped by leaders with the courage to seek consensus, civility, and compassion in the protection of vulnerable lives.

Second Amendment: I am an ardent supporter of Americans’ right to keep and bear arms. Service in the military imbued me with a deep respect for firearms. I was trained on small arms in the NAVY and issued a sidearm when flying combat missions overseas.

I will oppose any attempt by liberal politicians to infringe on the Second Amendment.

First Amendment: The right to free speech and free exercise of religion are bedrock principles of the United States that I was willing to risk everything for while in the NAVY. In Congress, I will be a free speech champion as I fight against any effort by either the government or Big Tech to censor Americans and I will ardently defend Americans’ right to exercise their religion, including opposing any misuse of government resources to target communities of faith.
