Tom Royals: Stabbing Spree Underscores Critical Urgency to Support Police and Restore Safety in Maryland Communities

GERMANTOWN, MD: Republican candidate for Congress in MD-06, Tom Royals released the following statement on Monday on the unacceptable rise in violent crime across too many of our Maryland communities, including a stabbing spree in Montgomery County over the weekend.

“I commend the police who responded to the recent stabbing spree in Montgomery County and wish for a speedy and full recovery for the victims,” Royals said. “This horrifying attack underscores the critical urgency to elect leaders who will ensure our police have the support and resources required to restore safety and reverse the disturbing rise in violent crime and carjackings in Maryland communities.”

“No one in Maryland should ever feel unsafe walking in their neighborhood, driving down their street or dropping their child off at school.” Royals added. “As a father with young children, I have zero tolerance for unchecked crime that puts the safety of families at risk and, in Congress, I will be an unapologetic supporter of the brave men and women who wear the blue and keep us safe.”
